Sunburst
Here is a graphical representation of the average time consumption percentages of categorical behaviors displayed between mid November and mid January displayed by Sunburst the sub-adult green. It is clear that orientation is the most observed behavior while interacting with enrichment feeding devices as well as ice treats. During live enrichment sessions random swimming is the most observed behavior.
Note: Noncategorized behavior pertains to eating food off of the bottom of the tank when food falls out of the feeding enrichment devices, ice treats thaw, and when live food is bitten into smaller chunks.
As you can see only resting, pattern swimming, and random swimming were observed before all three different types of enrichment sessions. More pattern swimming was observed before using feeding enrichment devices while more random swimming was observed before the use of ice treats and live enrichment sessions.

Carson
Here is a graphical representation of the average time consumption percentages of categorical behaviors displayed between mid November and mid January displayed by Carson the loggerhead yearling. It is clear that focused behavior is observed during live enrichment as well as interactions with enrichment feeding devices. Random swimming is the main behavior displayed during interactions with ice treats.
Note: Noncategorized behavior pertains to eating food off of the bottom of the tank when food falls out of the feeding enrichment devices, ice treats thaw, and when live food is bitten into smaller chunks. Focused behavior is present before enrichment sessions since the yearling loggerhead interacts with it's sea grass bed, present in the tank.
As you can see only resting, random swimming, and focused behaviors were observed before all three different types of enrichment sessions. Random swimming is the most observed behavior displayed by the yearling loggerhead before all three types of food-based enrichment.

Harold
Here is a graphical representation of the average time consumption percentages of categorical behaviors displayed between mid November and mid January displayed by Harold the loggerhead hatchling. It is clear that aggression is the most observed behavior with ice treats while random swimming is the main behavior displayed during live enrichment. During interactions with enrichment feeding devices, aggression is seen the most.
More pattern swimming was observed before using feeding enrichment devices while more random swimming was observed before the use of ice treats.

Rooney
Here is a graphical representation of the average time consumption percentages of categorical behaviors displayed between mid November and mid January displayed by Rooney the other loggerhead hatchling. It is clear that aggression is the most observed behavior with ice treats as well as use of feeding devices. While random swimming is the main behavior displayed while interacting with enrichment feeding devices. At this point, the behaviors of two hatchlings are practically identical.
Note: Noncategorized behavior pertains to eating food off of the bottom of the tank when food falls out of the feeding enrichment devices, ice treats thaw, and when live food is bitten into smaller chunks.
Similar to the other hatchling only resting, pattern swimming, and random swimming were observed before all three different types of enrichment sessions. Again, pattern swimming was seen more before the use of enrichment devices while random swimming is seen more before interactions with ice treats.
